Great choices this year.
Champions is the theme of the NBA 2K25 cover with Jayson Tatum of the Boston Celtics and A’ja Wilson of the Las Vegas Aces both getting their flowers.
There will be a total of four covers this year, with Tatum and Wilson appearing together on the All-Star Edition, with Tatum appearing alone on the base copy of 2K25, while Wilson gets a solo cover on the WNBA Edition.
The ultimate edition of the game this year is called the “Hall of Fame Edition,” and features Vince Carter during his most iconic run with the Toronto Raptors.
This marks the first time since NBA 2K9 that a member of the Celtics has been on a cover of 2K, with Kevin Garnett last getting the nod. It’s also the fourth year where a WNBA athlete has gotten their own cover, with Wilson joining Sabrinia Ionescu (2K24), Diana Taurasi and Sue Bird (2K23) and Candace Parker (2K22).
We’ll know more about the game closer to release, but it’s tough to argue with the choices made for the athletes this year.
