After Brandon Aubrey drilled a 65-yard field goal, Tom Brady dropped an NBA comparison
Tom Brady is now into his third week as an NFL broadcaster, joining Kevin Burkhardt on the call for Sunday’s game between the Dallas Cowboys and the Baltimore Ravens.
Now we have our first incredible comparison from the future Hall of Famer.
After the Ravens scored the game’s first touchdown on a nine-yard run from Lamar Jackson, the Cowboys saw their second possession of the game stall out just inside Baltimore territory. Head coach Mike McCarthy sent kicker Brandon Aubrey out onto the field to attempt a 65-yard field goal, just two weeks after Aubrey hit from 66 yards out against the Cleveland Browns — another game where Brady was on the call — only to have that waved off due to a penalty.
No penalty flags would fly on this kick, however:
That lead to Brady bringing up another athlete who can convert from distance, Steph Curry:
Although, given how Aubrey made this kick from the logo, we would have accepted Caitlin Clark here too.
