What a moment!

It can be really difficult to shop for your mom on her birthday, but Xavier Worthy managed to find his the perfect gift on Monday Night Football.

Worthy scored his second career rushing touchdown in the fourth quarter against the Saints and immediately made a beeline to the stands to find his mom and give her his touchdown ball.

It was one of the sweetest moments in football this week as the Arrowhead crowd gave Worthy and his mom Nicky Jones plenty of space to share the mother-son moment. From there it got even more adorable as ESPN had a video package ready explaining the close bond between the two, with Worthy saying his mom is his “best friend, saying that because she had him when she was 18-years-old they share a unique bond.

As sweet as all this was, and seriously, I absolutely loved this moment — I would be remiss if I didn’t point out that as soon as Jones sat back down with the ball she was immediately terrified by a rogue beach ball that came flying her way.

In all seriousness, congratulations to Worthy for the big TD on his mom’s birthday, and the moment they’ll both never forget.
