Reese becomes the fifth active WNBA player to ink a shoe deal.
Angel Reese has agreed to a multiyear contract extension with Reebok, and a signature shoe line that will be released in 2026, per ESPN.
Reese becomes the fifth active WNBA player to sign a deal, joining Breanna Stewart (Puma), Sabrina Ionescu (Nike), Caitlin Clark (Nike) and A’ja Wilson (Nike). All four of those players were All-WNBA players this season, with Stewart, Clark, and Wilson making First Team and Ionescu making Second Team. Reese becomes the first active player to sign with Reebok. Paige Bueckers, a college star at the University of Connecticut, also has a shoe coming out.
Angel Reese, drafted at No. 7 by the Chicago Sky, had an excellent rookie campaign that saw her finish as a member of the All-Rookie Team. She finished the season with the best on-off point differential of any WNBA player (minimum two games played). Chicago was 22.5 points better with her on the court than off the court per 100 possessions.
Reese also set a new WNBA record for most rebounds per game, finishing with 13.1 rebounds and 5.1 offensive rebounds per game. She recorded 26 consecutive double-doubles, also a new WNBA record.
Reese has a close relationship with fellow LSU alum Shaquille O’Neil, who also serves as President of Reebok Basketball. Last October, Reebok and O’Neil signed Reese to an NIL partnership.
The shoe deal makes Reese one of two WNBA rookies set to have their own line, a good representation of the draft class’s popularity and of the rising value of her own personal brand. She also has a number of other brand deals, including with brands like Goldman Sachs, Beats by Dre, Tampax, Airbnb, Amazon, Playstation, SI Swimsuit, Starry, Bose, JanSport, Campus Ink (jerseys), Raising Cane’s, Bose, Bayou Traditions, Intuit TurboTax, Mielle Organics, and TOGETHXR.
