Three events remain on the FedEx Cup Fall schedule, as countless players have plenty on the line before the season concludes.
After Nico Echavarria’s win at the ZOZO Championship last week, only three events remain on the PGA Tour’s FedEx Cup Fall schedule.
The tour takes a hiatus this week before heading to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, on Nov. 7 for the World Wide Technologies Championship. That event, won last year by Erik van Rooyen, will again be held at the Tiger Woods-designed El Cardonal. The 2023 edition marked the first time a Woods-designed course hosted a PGA Tour event.
The FedEx Cup Fall will then travel from the Pacific coast to the middle of the Atlantic, where the Butterfield Bermuda Championship awaits.
The RSM Classic in Sea Island, Georgia, scheduled for Nov. 21-24, wraps up the fall schedule right before Thanksgiving but will also make or break plenty of hearts.
At the end of the RSM Classic, those players ranked 51st to 60th in the FedEx Cup Fall rankings will comprise the initial Aon Next 10 for the 2025 season. Players who qualify for the Aon Next 10 will earn invitations to the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and the Genesis Invitational at Riveria, the first two Signature Events of the season after the season-opening Sentry in Maui.

Not much movement within the Aon Next 10 occurred after last week’s ZOZO Championship. Tom Kim did not go anywhere. Nor did a handful of others, including Presidents Cup star Mackenzie Hughes, who currently occupies the top spot. Yet, Echavarria moved up 48 places, from 113th to 65th, to give himself a chance at finishing within the top 60. Ben Griffin snuck into the Aon Next 10 thanks to his T-22 finish in Japan, and Australian Min Woo Lee, who tied for 27th, continues to lurk on the periphery. The Aussie moved up one spot, from 63rd to 62nd, in the FedEx Cup Fall rankings.

More importantly—and more dramatically—whoever finishes among the top 125 after the RSM Classic earns their PGA Tour cards for the 2025 season. Playing privileges and livelihoods will be on the line in Sea Island, Georgia, where the drama unfolds year in and year out.
You have to figure that PGA Tour fan-favorite Joel Dahmen will be sweating it out in the Peach State this year. He is 124th in the FedEx Cup Fall standings, as he moved up five places thanks to his T-41 in Japan. The 78-man, limited-field event in Japan allowed him to move up the rankings slightly despite not having his best stuff. But the difference between earning a PGA Tour card and falling short is razor thin—perhaps by a single stroke. Every shot counts.

It’s also worth noting that the top 150 players in the FedEx Cup Fall earn conditional status for 2025, meaning they can make some starts on the PGA Tour next season. These same players will also have full status on the Korn Ferry Tour and can enter PGA Tour Q-School, which begins Dec. 14. The top-5 finishers and ties from Q-School will also earn cards for 2025.
