Indiana Fever guard set to join Unrivaled Basketball

Lexie Hull joins the brand-new 3×3 professional basketball league after a standout season with the Fever.
The Indiana Fever finally have some representation in Unrivaled: guard Lexie Hull is the latest to commit to playing in the new professional 3×3 basketball league slated to tip-off in Miami on January 17th. Prior to Hull’s commitment, the Fever were the only WNBA team without a participating player in the new offseason venture. Now, one of the breakout members of the Indiana roster that made the postseason for the first time since 2016 is headed to Unrivaled.
The new 3×3 league, co-founded by UConn teammates Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart, is shaping up to be highly innovative in its pay structure — all inaugural players will own equity in the league, and also receive a minimum salary of $100,000.
Games will be played twice a week on TNT, and the season will conclude with a postseason. Unrivaled will also notably include a first-of-its-kind 1v1 tournament.
While the first season will be exclusively based in Miami in its first season, the league hopes to expand stops to additional cities in the future.
Unrivaled recently announced its six official club names, and more information around game location, ticketing, and rules is set to be released in the coming weeks.
Lexie Hull becomes Unrivaled player No. 29
This past season, Hull averaged 5.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.1 assists in 19.7 minutes per game. She finished the season as one of the WNBA’s top three-point shooters, drilling 47.1% from three on the year. The 2022 No. 6 draft has spent three seasons in Indiana after a career at Stanford, and established herself as a consistent starter after the Olympic break.
Hull, who previously spent her offseason playing for Athletes Unlimited, marks the 29th committed player in Unrivaled. It’s been reported that the league is working to heavily recruit Caitlin Clark to participate — Hull’s participation could be another incentive for the rookie star to join, considering the duo’s friendship.
