With six head coach openings the interviews are coming fast and furious. We’re tracking them all here
There are five NFL teams who are officially in the hunt for their next head coach. The shared DNA of these organizations isn’t simply bad play, but missed potential. Chicago, New Orleans, and the New York Jets made the move mid-season to axe their coaches and officially begin their searches — now joined by the Patriots and Jaguars who fired their coaches during the league’s “Black Monday” period.
It’s important to note that not everyone can be interviewed for jobs right now. The most coveted candidates are currently on playoff staffs, which means they can’t officially be interviewed for jobs until the season is officially over. However, teams can lodge requests to interview — and these are masked with asterisks. The same applies to coaches who are currently under contract with other teams. These candidates can only interview if approved by their current teams, and are also marked with asterisks.
