The 5 WNBA stars leading Unrivaled’s MVP ladder ten games into the season.
We’re just a few weeks away from the conclusion of the Unrivaled season, and as such, it’s time for a new edition of the Unrivaled player rankings.
Unrivaled, the new professional women’s basketball league co-founded by Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart, concludes on March 17th. So far, six clubs have played in 10 games each:
Lunar Owls (9-1): Napheesa Collier (Lynx), Courtney Williams (Lynx), Skylar Diggins-Smith (Storm), Allisha Gray (Dream), Shakira Austin (Mystics), and Cameron Brink (Sparks, will only play beginning 2026).
Rose (6-4): Chelsea Gray (Aces), Kahleah Copper (Mercury), Angel Reese (Sky), Brittney Sykes (Mystics), Lexie Hull (Fever), and Azura Stevens (Sparks)
Laces (5-5): Jackie Young (Aces), Tiffany Hayes (free agent), Kayla McBride (Lynx), Alyssa Thomas (Mercury), Kate Martin (Valkyries), and Stef Dolson (Mystics).
Vinyl (4-6): Arike Ogunbowale (Wings), Rhyne Howard (Dream), Aliyah Boston (Fever), Jordin Canada (Dream), Rae Burrell (Sparks), and Dearica Hamby (Sparks)
Mist (3-7): Jewell Loyd (Aces), DiJonai Carrington (Wings), Breanna Stewart (Liberty), Courtney Vandersloot (Sky), Rickea Jackson (Sparks), and Aaliyah Edwards (Mystics)
In the first month of Unrivaled, two players have stood out with their consistent play and impact on winning: Minnesota Lynx stars Napheesa Collier and Kayla McBride. Both players led the Lynx to a WNBA Finals appearance in October, and now, playing in Unrivaled, it appears that the memory of a heartbreaking Game 5 loss has them playing the best basketball of their career.
Napheesa Collier (Lunar Owls): Collier’s Lunar Owls have far and away the best record through 10 games — and Collier has led the way. Collier, who recently won Unrivaled’s 1v1 tournament, has been the league’s leading scorer, averaging 26.6 points and 11.1 rebounds per game. As of Saturday, the 6’1 forward was shooting 60.8% from the field, which is third-best in the league, behind only Aaliyah Edwards and Brittney Griner. She’s also shooting 36.8% from three.

2. Kayla McBride (Laces): McBride has been one of the league’s most consistent players, averaging 19.8 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game. McBride didn’t partake in the Unrivaled 1v1 tournament due to injury, but she hasn’t missed a beat on the court competing for the Laces. As soon as the Unrivaled season ends, McBride is going to head overseas to rejoin the Turkish club Fenerbahce, which she’s played for for many years.

3. Chelsea Gray (Rose): The Rose have won 5 straight games, and veteran guard Chelsea Gray has been a huge reason why. Gray recorded 26 points, 9 rebounds, and 7 assists on Monday night, while also hitting the game-winning three-pointer. This season, she’s averaging 19.1 points (6th-most in the league) and 5.8 assists (most in the league). Returning from injury, Gray had a down year for the Las Vegas Aces last season, but she’s seemed to regain her rhythm and flow in Miami.

4. Dearica Hamby (Vinyl): Dearica Hamby has been excellent for the Vinyl this season, averaging 21.3 points, 9.8 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.4 steals per game. She’s the third-leading scorer in the league and is shooting a scorching 57.1% from the field through 8 games this season. Hamby will soon return to an improved Sparks team that now featured Kelsey Plum, and it appears she’s much-improved herself, too, based on her Unrivaled play.

5. Allisha Gray (Lunar Owls): Atlanta Dream star Allisha Gray has been a massive part of the Lunar Owls’ success so far — she is averaging 20.1 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 2.6 assists in 16.3 minutes per game, and is the fourth-leading scorer in Unrivaled. She’s also yet to miss a game this season.
