Unrivaled — the new 3-on-3 professional women’s basketball league tipping off on January 17th — has revealed its six club rosters, as well as who will coach each team.
All 36 Unrivaled players — including two yet-to-be-determined Wildcards — were split into six pods, with each pod being comprised of either guards, wings, or bigs. The league’s six head coaches worked together to select one player from each pod for each of the clubs, with the goal of creating well-rounded and balanced rosters. But, coaches didn’t know which club was theirs until after rosters were finalized.
The entire deliberation process was streamed on Unrivaled’s YouTube channel, with the six coaches conversing about how to most effectively balance out the rosters.
