After ranking the best and worst uniforms, let’s rank all 32 countries in the 2024 Olympics men’s golf competition.

Welcome to Playing Through’s daily ritual — Golf Talk Today.

The 2024 Paris Olympics men’s competition is over, and the women tee off Wednesday. Before focusing on the ladies, I had one final discussion for the men’s Olympic competition.

In the men’s event, there were 32 countries and 60 players. On Sunday, I ranked the best three team’s scriptings and the worst three. However, I cannot get those uniforms out of my head, so I wanted to rank all 32.

There were some ugly options, so I divided it into the top and bottom 16 uniforms.

Brew a pot of coffee, grab a buttery croissant, and settle in as I rank all 32 countries and their team outfits.

32 — Team Australia

Who told Team Australia that yellow and this teal blue went together? It’s horrendous and needs help. Someone help the Aussies look better.

31 — Team Canada

Red and Black camo was just one of Team Canada’s atrocities—their whole scripting was off-putting. There were also polka dots and an all-gray fit that made me scratch my head. None of it looked like Canada or the guys who wore it. Maybe they should consult the players next time.

30 — Team Norway

Ugly Christmas sweater polo put them this low on the list. Adding golf balls, tees, and clubs to this pattern makes it look gimmicky. So many people loved it, but I hate it and always will.

29 — Team Italy

The all-blue look blends into the Olympic tee box design on the first hole. Team Italy has such a beautiful color scheme that they wore blue blobs. Matteo Manassero and Guido Migliozzi deserve better.

28 — Team Argentia

Two teams looked weirdly similar, and no, they did not use the same brand. Team Argentina used their country’s flag colors of powder blue and white, but then they went too far.

Racing stripes in the Olympics — the audacity. It could have been so much better than this, and they chose to look like a 1969 Mustang GT.

27 — Team Korea

Does Team Korea and Team Argentina look similar to you?

Well, the racing stripes are on the opposite side of the shirt, but it is eerily alike. Korea added their country’s name to the polo, but still, it is too similar not to acknowledge.

I usually like the WAAC (Win At All Cost) brand because it is fun and different, but they went too basic with this. I’ve seen some of the stuff K.H. Lee has worn in PGA Tour Events, and I am disappointed we did not get something like that for the Olympics.

26 — Team Thailand

Team Thailand also brought out an all-blue look. They rank higher because the pattern is not bad, but I would have loved to see a different shade of blue. Their white shirt moment was nice, though.

25 — Team Spain

Team Spain went with the most boring scripting ever. I thought Jon Rahm had to make his Staples shift after his golf round. It looks like he has their uniform on, which is not something you would wear in the Olympics.

24 — Team Puerto Rico

It is not terrible, but there were not enough pictures to rank Team Puerto Rico higher. I do like the pattern, though.

23 — Team China

Team China wore bucket hats one day of the tournament, and I liked it. That hat is probably the only thing I was excited about from them. However, the scripting was pretty dull and could have been better. Get creative for the Olympics and represent your country—a giant “CHN” on the arm is so 2008; give us something more for 2024.

22 — Team Malaysia

While it is not my favorite pattern or color, I gave Team Malaysia points for doing something different. They could have gone the boring route like many other teams, but they did not. This pattern in the black shirt is much better; the yellow just does nothing for me.

21 — Team Switzerland

I’m bored. It is red and white from another country. Yes, the flag is red and white, but switch it up and make your players look different.

20 — Team India

I like Team India’s pattern and bold colors. It looks different from the others, so I ranked them much higher. It is not for everyone, but this has so much potential.

19 — Team Japan

Drum roll, please… MORE RED AND WHITE COLOR SCRIPTINGS!

Team Japan wore the Japanese clothing company Descente for the Olympics. I ranked it this high because it shows me they have color, not just the black, white and brown options Xander Schauffele wears.

The one white sleeve did throw me off some, though.

18 — Team Germany

I’m bored, but it is not terrible for Team Germany. I like the little German flag on the shoes.

17 — Team Finland

I’m still bored with it. However, it is not the worst of the bunch.

The Top 16 men’s team uniforms at the 2024 Olympics

This portion of the list is the side that nailed their uniforms. Remember, golf fashion is subjective, but this is how I would rank the top 16.

16 — Team Poland

Yes, as you can see, red and white were a popular choice among the teams.

15 — Team Denmark

RED AND WHITE FOR THE WIN — please stop with this color scheme.

14 — Team Belgium

I will accept red and black from Team Belgium. It is clean. They are far from original, but for this Georgia Peach, it is hard not to like this color combo.

13 — Team South Africa

Team South Africa showed Team Australia how to do yellow. This slight hint of the color is excellent and does not blind you when you see it in the sun. The green hat is also a nice touch without going overboard.

12 — Team Colombia

Team Colombia looked clean and classic. Plus it was not red and white, so I like them.

11 — Team Austria

Sepp Straka represented Team Austria but looks ready to suit up for his college team, the Georgia Bulldogs. Those are not white pants but pure silver britches. That is why Team Austria sits at No. 11—it is different enough.

10 — Team Chile

Team Chile looks traditional and well put together. I love this black shirt with a black hat and belt. Pairing it with white pants and shoes is excellent. Joaquin Niemann always has great style, so he pulled this off well.

9 — Team France

Team France looked classy throughout the week. This all-white look was nicely done with the blue stripe on one side and red on the other. It’s subtle and not too in your face. The blue look was a touch wild, but it was perfect for the Olympics in France.

8 — Team Paraguay

Look, y’all! Team Paraguay gave us a striped polo with navy pants and a red hat. It works, and even though there were only two photos of Fabrizio Zanotti to pick from, this was such a breath of fresh air that I had to rank him inside the Top 10.

7 — Team Sweden

Another classic vibe came from Team Sweden — they showed how good Adam Scott could look if he switched it up and avoided neutrals. Ludvig Åberg might need someone from Uniqlo to get him away from Adidas because this looks fantastic.

6 — Team Chinese Taipei

C.T. Pan looked fantastic for Team Chinese Taipei. The lighter blue with these dark silver pants gave me such a vibe. I love the white accessories around it to break it up.

5 — Team Great Britain

Adidas, where is this during the regular PGA Tour season?

Team Great Britain looked fantastic. This polo is a great way to incorporate the red and white from a country’s flag into the wardrobe. It is a pattern many would look great in, and I loved it with the navy pants. Tommy Fleetwood looked fantastic this past week.

4 — Team Mexico

Team Mexico used all three of its flag colors. Yes, they gave us red and white, but this green and white outfit saved them. I love this shade on Carlos Ortiz—it is perfect for his skin tone. The Mexico flag belt is cute and a great way to be patriotic without going too far.

3 — Team New Zealand

New Zealand came in at Bronze because it chose to honor the All Blacks rugby team with its color scheme and feather logo.

2 — Team Ireland

Ireland is silver in the best team uniforms because they subtly used the Irish flag colors without being gaudy. Those shoes on Rory McIlroy really elevate the outfit. However, that soft green with the navy pants was one of my favorite looks among all 32 countries.

1 — Team USA

Team USA is your gold medal winner in the best team uniforms competition. J. Lindeberg nailed it with this scripting. It is so different from the other 31 countries.

The whole team looks fantastic in the J. Lindberg line, showing how creative an Olympic team outfit can be. Check out why they got gold in our top 3 best and worst uniforms article.
