Paige Bueckers was just one of the WNBA’s incoming class of rookies who STUNNED in their draft day outfits on the orange carpet.
The WNBA Draft brought all of the newest rookies to the orange carpet, and (to no one’s surprise) they SLAYED. The WNBA has become a hotspot of fashion and culture, and the incoming draftees offered a reminder of that with their outfits at Monday night’s event. They were looking GOOD for their big night.
The WNBA announced its new partnership with Coach Monday morning as well, and didn’t waste any time including the brand in it’s draft night festivities. Not only was the orange carpet sponsored by Coach, but many of the outfits were styled by the brand as well. The designer will also serve as the “official handbag partner of the WNBA” moving forward.
There were a few different themes to the draftees outfits, so let’s take a look at some of the most stunning fits among them.
She’s the Diamond of the Season – Sparkles!

It’s hard to tell in the photos, but Paige Bueckers was sparkling in head-to-toe custom Coach. The black and brown micro checkered design was dripping in stones, and included a matching jacket, vest and pants. She carried a black leather Coach bag to match black leather shoes, and wore mixed metal jewelry and accessories. Her signature braids were taken out to let her blonde locks fall free and wavy.
The whole look was a mix of vintage menswear and feminine glittery glam — a statement to Bueckers’s trademark androgynous style choices. She looked comfortable and radiant with natural makeup. Slam dunk!
THEN, Paige went and changed her fit (the Rickea Jackson move), heading to her draft table in a different suit. She went with an all black, more fitted but still oversized suit.

The lapels of her suit were still sparkly to match her glittery vibe and she opted to pull her hair back into a half-up half half-down look, more classic Paige. It was still so glam and SO Paige, fitting the style of the first look but in a neutral black.
Hailey Van Lith, styled by Coach

Hailey Van Lith was the picture of classy fun in a little black dress designed by Coach. She told reporters on the orange carpet that she wanted a vintage look, working with the designers to mix a few different styles together. It was another fully sparkly look, with sheer patterned sleeves and a sweetheart neckline.
Van Lith paired the dress with a pair of classic platform heels and a leather coach bag. Simple to go with the busy patterns and sparkle of her dress. Monochromatic in black, which gorgeously contrasted her blonde hair — which was blown out and pulled to the side with two silver Coach barrettes.
Her makeup was mostly simple, with a smoky eye and contoured cheek. The whole look was a mix between elegance and joyfulness. She also called it a “college funeral” outfit, iconic.
Kiki Iriafen

Kiki Iriafen is the MOMENT. She stepped onto that carpet in a gold floor length gown with a leg slit and a shoulder accent — and left ZERO crumbs. The look was created by Nigerian designer Nneka Alexander, and was aimed to pay tribute to Iriafen’s Nigerian culture
The gold skirt is perfectly accented by the bronze corset and Nigerian beads, and she accessorized with orange earrings and an orange bracelet. The beads and stones leave her looking like a shimmering goddess, and her long blonde locks add another level of glam to the whole thing.
Keeping it Classic!
Dominique Malonga, styled by Louis Vuitton

France is becoming a hotspot for developing basketball talent, and the WNBA’s newest belle is arriving in style. Dominique Malonga wanted to pay homage to her French roots by wearing head-to-toe Louis Vuitton. She opted for a tailored black suit with a white shirt and clutch handbag.
Going for a stacked jewelry look and a chic pair of glasses, Malonga proves that classic will never go out of style!
Shyanne Sellers

Classy sleek suits will always be in style, and Shyanne Sellers added a pop of color to the carpet! Pairing a classic silhouette with a pair of neutral frames and a monochromatic handkerchief. The periwinkle blue makes her look radiant, and the fact that she’s dripping in Van Cleef jewelry helps to.
She looks comfortable, classy, and fun. It’s a look that will always stun on any carpet.
Sonia Citron, styled by Coach

Sonia Citron also decided on an all-black fit, going business on the top and party on the bottom. Her tailored jacket provides a plunging neckline, both chic and elegant. She paired it with an asymmetrical skirt, and small bag.
Her hair continues on this sleek trend by being straight, but is pulled up in a half-up, half-down look. She takes a little bit of a risk by wearing white socks with her pumps, adding a bit of playfulness to the look.
It’s girly but in a girl boss on a mission kind of way. Perfect for the biggest day of your career.
Taking Runway Risks and Making Statements
Saniya Rivers

Saniya Rivers went with a plainer pattern but experimented with an unusual silhouette — which paid off. The one-sleeve, asymmetrical jacket compliments her athletic build, showing off her muscles while still looking perfectly tailored to her. The white color of the outfit contrasted with her red hair matches perfectly.
The red and white also matched her bag, with the message “the WNBA been poppin” written on the side, the WNBA painted in red.
Rivers commented on how she “always wears black” so she decided to change it up by doing the opposite. Not only does she look great, but she stands out.
Azaiha James

Azaiha James said on the orange carpet she wanted her draft look to be “over the top” — and it was! She went for an oversized distressed jacket and shorts combo, loafers and white socks. Her jacket was adorned with pins, buttons and chains, giving it an edge, which matched her silver jewelry.
Her hair was braided and pulled into a high ponytail, and she finished the look off with a pair of cool sunglasses.
Another “jacket-no-shirt” combo, the neckline was the perfect offset to the fact that the oversized style of the rest of the outfit covered her body — it was giving contrast! The whole thing was fun, fabulous, and a step outside of the box.
Georgia Amoore, styled by Russell Westbrook

Russell Westbrook has always been into fashion, but he’s officially taking styling clients now, and we aren’t mad about it. Westbrook helped Amoore put together an outfit that was giving black and white with a twist. The leather skirt was paired with an asymmetrical jacket with a floral design. The Aussie also wore leather black loafers, socks, and a white handbag.
While the silhouette is traditional, the print makes this a risky and fun choice. Amoore keeps it simple leaving her hair down and doing a minimal makeup look with silver jewelry. Good job Russ!
