The 3M Open Preview:
This week, the PGA Tour is at the 3M Open in Minnesota, where several stars are in the mix. Many players look to add much-needed FedEx Cup points to prolong their seasons.
Four of the top 20 and seven of the Top 30 in the point standings will play this week.
Some of the biggest names in the field are Tony Finau, Sahith Theegala, Akshay Bhatia, Billy Horschel and Team USA Ryder Cup Captain Keegan Bradley.
The youngsters are also in the field this week. Amateur sensation Luke Clanton, Michael Thorbjornsen and Neal Shipley are also in the field.
Another player to include in this category is Nick Dunlap. He won last week’s Barracuda Championship, becoming the first PGA Tour player to win as an amateur and rookie in one season.

Defending champion Lee Hodges will attempt to win back-to-back titles at TPC Twin Cities. Keith Mitchell and Joel Dahmen are two more fan favorites who could cause drama.
Those guys need points, so look for them to come out and play with some tenacity. While they love having fun on the golf course, they need strong finishes to keep their season going.
Dahmen is 113th in the standings, while Mitchell is right on the bubble at 76. A good performance in Minnesota would benefit them both.
This week is all about earning FedEx Cup points. It will be a cutthroat tournament to see who can extend their season. The pressure is on; who will come out on top?
