The Indiana Fever won the 2024 WNBA Draft lottery. Caitlin Clark will be the No. 1 pick … if she enters.

The Indiana Fever finished 13-27 overall this past season, the third-worst record in the WNBA. On Sunday, they changed their future forever by winning the 2024 WNBA Draft lottery and landing the No. 1 overall pick in what is presumably the Caitlin Clark draft.

The Fever had the top odds heading into the draft with a 44.2 percent chance of landing the first pick. It’s the second straight year the Fever have won the lottery. Last season, Indiana selected big Aliyah Boston out of South Carolina at No. 1 overall. Boston went on to win Rookie of the Year this past season.

Indiana is landing an even bigger star in 2024 assuming Clark enters the draft. Clark is in her fourth year at Iowa, but she could technically return to school because she has a bonus Covid season. Clark said she would “treat this year like this is my last year,” heading into this season with the Hawkeyes. Watch the video of the Fever winning the first pick here:

Clark is arguably the biggest star to enter the WNBA draft in league history. We profiled her rise in college basketball during her sophomore season. As a junior, she led Iowa to the national championship game before falling short in a classic against LSU.

Clark was the national player of the year as a junior. She surpassed 3,000 career points at the college level last week.

Fans couldn’t believe the Fever lucked into to land the top pick in what should be the Clark draft.

Clark and Boston would be an incredible combo. Watch highlights of Clark in the last NCAA tournament here:

Indiana is Caitlin Clark’s … as long as she turns pro. With Tyrese Haliburton turning into a new star for the Pacers, Indiana basketball is all the way back.

The Los Angeles Sparks will have the No. 2 pick, the Phoenix Mercury landed the No. 3 pick, and the Seattle Storm earned the No. 4 pick in the draft lottery.
