The Philadelphia Eagles will be without one of their offensive stars on Monday night

These are nervous times in the City of Brotherly Love.

The Philadelphia Eagles limped into the playoffs, literally and figuratively. The Eagles were at one point 10-1 on the season, looking like one of the premier teams in the NFC. But since that start, Philadelphia limped down the stretch, losing five of their last six games to fall out of contention for the top spot in the NFC, to the fifth seed in the conference.

Now they’ll start their playoff journey on the road, and without one of their best players. When the Eagles take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday night in Tampa Bay, A.J. Brown will be watching from the sidelines. The star wide receiver sprained his knee in the season finale against the New York Giants, and was ruled out for Monday night’s game:

#Eagles WR A.J. Brown will be ruled out against the #Buccaneers, sources say. He worked to try to get ready but won’t make it. Should Philly advance, he could be available for the Divisional Round.

As noted above, should the Eagles win on Monday night, he could be available for the Divisional Round.

Brown is not the only injured star in the Eagles’ offensive huddle. Quarterback Jalen Hurts dislocated a finger on his throwing hand in the loss to the Giants, but is expected to be in the starting lineup against the Buccaneers.
