The fourth round of the women’s golf competition is here for the 2024 Olympics. Can Zhang or someone from Team USA medal?

The women’s golf competition at the 2024 Olympics has 18 holes left until the Gold, Silver and Bronze medalists emerge.

Team USA will have Rose Zhang in the final group alongside Switzerlands’ Megane Metraux and Lydia Ko. She sits two shots behind them after firing off an impressive 5-under 67 to sit at 7-under overall. Ko and Metraux lead at 9-under.

The New Zealander looks to win her third medal after winning Silver in the 2016 Rio Games and Bronze in the 2021 Tokyo Games.

Nelly Korda sits tied seventh after she shot a 2-under 70 on Friday. She is 4-under overall and five shots behind. It does not look like the 14-time LPGA winner will defend her gold medal, but no one should count out the No. 1 player in the world. As for Lilia Vu, she shot 4-over 76 and is out of the medal hunt.

Australia’s Hannah Green had the low round of the day, carding a 6-under 66 to jump 19 spots on the leaderboard. She is 3-under in the tournament, so the podium may be too far out of reach.

Brooke Henderson of Canada also played well on Friday. She shot a 5-under 67 to move 17 spots up the leaderboard.

With Paris six hours ahead of Eastern Standard Time, let’s get into the fourth-round tee times.

Who will make the podium in the women’s golf competition? It will be interesting to see if Zhang’s experience on Le Golf National pays off or if Ko finally gets that Gold Medal.
