DiVincenzo wasn’t letting the trade go away too quietly.
Just as quickly as the Villanova Boys were assembled, the New York Knicks broke them apart, trading former guard Done DiVincenzo as well as forward Julius Randle to the Minnesota Timberwolves in exchange for star big man Karl-Anthony Towns.
Clearly, DiVincenzo was not ready to let go of the fact that he was traded away from the Knicks. In the preseason game between Minnesota and New York, DiVincenzo was chirping at the Knicks bench, specifically head coach Tom Thibodeau.
“Thank you for the trade Thibs. Thank you for the trade… that’s what happens when they let you run the show. That’s what happens when they let you run the show” pic.twitter.com/9F8LD8YRLI

Yeah…he doesn’t seem happy at all. While the trade went down unexpectedly, I’m sure it caught DiVincenzo off guard. Imagine getting all your friends back on the same team for the first time since college and you end up being the first one traded away, that’s gotta sting a little bit.
I’m all for the trash talk. Yes, it’s preseason, but it should still be a competition. Keep talking trash, make it uncomfortable the next time these two teams play.
Best believe I will be there when these two teams battle in the regular season.
