We take a look at what color the post-game Gatorade shower was in the Eagles Super Bowl 59 victory.
The Philadelphia Eagles steamrolled the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl 59 to take home the second Lombardi Trophy in franchise history. The Eagles got revenge on a Chiefs squad that narrowly beat them two years ago in Super Bowl 57.
The game was well in hand early in the fourth quarter, but the Eagles players waited until late in the game to conduct the traditional Gatorade shower on head coach Nick Sirianni. Wide receivers A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith dumped the Gatorade on him in the closing minutes and gave him a yellow-ish green bath to celebrate the victory. It happened with more than two minutes left and the Eagles leading 40-14.
Heading into Super Bowl 59, FanDuel Sportsbook offered odds in Canada on the Gatorade shower. Yellow or lime or green were the favorite at -195. Purple followed at +360. Orange was +950, and red/pink, blue, and water/clear were each +1500. The past two years the Kansas City Chiefs have dumped purple Gatorade on head coach Andy Reid.
