Portland State’s new hype video shows what makes college football so great

The school president got ready with the Vikings to take on Eastern Washington this week.

One thing that makes college football so enjoyable is the participation from people you normally wouldn’t expect it from. College sports are ingrained within an entire city’s framework; it becomes as much of a part of a city’s identity as anything else. When a team gets participation from the community, especially on the campus they have to live and go to class on, it makes the entire environment much better.

A perfect example of this happened at Portland State. With the Vikings taking on Eastern Washington, they unveiled their new recruit who could swing the tides for the Portland State football team: Portland State president Ann Cudd. Cudd got ready with the team for their upcoming game, and it made for some hilarious moments.

Cudd was hired in August, and even though she hasn’t been a part of the Portland State for a very long time, she’s already beginning to ingrain herself into the community through football. It’s really cool to see both the team and the president work together to do something funny and hype up the team and program. The deadlift she did had pretty good form as well, she might have a future in this sport.

Now the big question is: is she going to run out with the team on Saturday? Is she going to be dressed out for this game? Because she’s the school president, I’m not sure what her eligibility is, but if she’s a transfer she might have some eligibility left.

The people need to see her catch a touchdown against Eastern Washington, just for the vibes.
