Adrian Meronk’s name arose to the surface of numerous LIV Golf rumors, but the Polish star put those canards to bed.
Adrian Meronk had a career season in 2023.
He recorded three wins, qualified for all four major championships for the first time, and earned his PGA Tour card by finishing fourth in the DP World Tour’s Race to Dubai standings. The top 10 players in those rankings—not otherwise exempt—earned playing rights on the PGA Tour for the 2024 season.
“[Playing on the PGA Tour] has been a goal to mine since we found out we are playing for PGA Tour cards,” Meronk said immediately after the DP World Tour Championship in mid-November.
“I’m very glad that I’m going to be playing on the PGA Tour. I played some tournaments this year and gained some experience. I’m looking forward to it.”
Despite his stated allegiance towards the PGA Tour, Meronk’s name became associated with LIV Golf in a report released early Wednesday by The Telegraph.
Consequently, Meronk took to Instagram to squash the rumor himself.
The 30-year-old Pole posted a cheeky video, which included an Apple Wallet-like design.
Within this, Meronk included his PGA Tour card for the 2024 season, thus mirroring the Apple Wallet feature that millions of people have recently grown accustomed to.
PGA Tour fans will also continue to grow accustomed to Meronk, who played in 11 official tour events throughout the 2022-23 season. His best finish came at the Honda Classic in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, where he tied for 14th.

He also finished in a tie for 17th at the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play—the last iteration of this event—in Austin, Texas.
But he did miss six cuts last season, including at the Masters and the U.S. Open.
Yet, Meronk has the game to grow into a superstar player—something Poland has never had before in golf. He ranked second in total strokes gained on the DP World Tour throughout 2023 and proved to be one of the best drivers of the golf ball in the world.
He led the DP World Tour in strokes gained off the tee.
Whether that translates to the PGA Tour remains to be seen.
But unlike Jon Rahm, Meronk immediately squashed any rumored association he had with LIV Golf. He will play on the PGA Tour in 2024, whereas Rahm’s future remains uncertain.
