In a deal that was announced after midnight on the East Coast on Saturday night, the Dallas Mavericks sent Doncic to the Lakers as part of a three-team trade, with the Mavericks acquiring Anthony Davis as part of the deal.
Reaction around the sports world — once it was confirmed that ESPN NBA Insider Shams Charania had not been hacked and his reporting was legitimate — was swift, with many wondering why in the world Dallas would make such a deal.
