The NFL universe is broad and varied when it comes to quarterbacks. There are good ones, terrible ones, speedy ones, and statuesque passers. As we thought about this group of players in 2024 we couldn’t help but think about them in terms of their movie character equivalent.
More specifically, we thought about them in terms of their Pixar character equivalent. So, without any ado: Here’s every quarterback in the NFL as a Pixar character.
AFC East
Josh Allen: Buzz Lightyear Toy Story
Awesome character, but always second fiddle to Woody.
Tua Tagovailoa: Mr. Potato Head Toy Story
Critical side character. Prone to falling apart easily.
Drake Maye: Jack-Jack Parr The Incredibles
Too young to really know. Might be very important in the future, but we just don’t know yet.
Aaron Rodgers: Stinky Pete Toy Story 2
Old. Washed. Naturally hates the younger generation
AFC West
Bo Nix: Emile Ratatouille
Needs strict guidance from someone with more experience, but when he gets it it’s fun.
Patrick Mahomes: Woody Toy Story
THE Pixar character. Can survive anything, even when everything is stacked against him.
Aidan O’Connell: Arlo The Good Dinosaur
Through no fault of his own everyone has forgotten he exists.
Justin Herbert: Wall-E Wall-E
An absolute robot with a heart of gold who has been through A LOT during his career.
AFC North
Lamar Jackson: Lightning McQueen Cars
The coolest character people think is one-not, but who has grown in a lot more ways than people think.
Joe Burrow: Finn McMissile Cars 2
Incredibly cool. Ends up carrying the team most of the movie.
Jameis Winston: Duke Caboom Toy Story 4
Stuntman who needs to be charged up before launching
Russell Wilson: Every member of 4Town Turning Red
Was much cooler 12 years ago.
AFC South
C.J. Stroud: Hector CoCo
Incredibly fun and cool, but consistently let down by teammates closest to him.
Anthony Richardson: Cruz Ramirez Cars 3
The new model of what a racer should be, but needs a little bit more work in testing
Trevor Lawrence: Merida Brave
Beautiful flowing hair on a long-range sniper. People very concerned who he’s dating.
Will Levis: Nemo Finding Nemo
Has one good arm and nothing else to really speak of. Very likely to be caught in a net.
NFC East
Dak Prescott: Jessie Toy Story 2
Has massive abandonment issues. Very talented Cowboy with an absolutely horrible owner.
Drew Lock: Luca Luca
Everyone forgot he existed until you read this.
Jalen Hurts: Joe Soul
Loves jazz. Both the music, and in his playstyle.
Jayden McDaniels: Dash The Incredibles
Very young, but also so incredibly fast. Very bight future to become a leading character.
NFC West
Kyler Murray: Barley Lightfoot Onward
Die-hard gamer. Not always around.
Matthew Stafford: Doc Hudson Cars
The OG cool quarterback. Still solid, but some things aren’t working like they used to.
Brock Purdy: Alfredo Linguini Ratatouille
Gets a lot of credit for being a star when really he’s controlled by a tiny genius in his helmet
Geno Smith: Frozone The Incredibles
Might be in lower regard than bigger heroes, but always steals the show
NFC North
Caleb Williams: Queen Elinor Brave
Became a Bear without his consent. Unclear is this is a good transformation or not.
Jared Goff: Slinky Dog Toy Story
Impossible to hate side character. Finds a way to be in the right place at the right time.
Jordan Love: Sully Monsters University
The younger version of James P. Sullivan. The potential is there and has shown up, but still needs some refinement.
Sam Darnold: Forky Toy Story 4
Absolutely should not work, but somehow does. Lifting everyone around him as a result.
NFC South
Kirk Cousins: Flick A Bug’s Life
The most midwest character in the Pixar universe. Nice guy, but forgettable.
Bryce Young: Remy Ratatouille
Tiny little guy learning how to cook.
Derek Carr: Sid Toy Story
Has obvious generational trauma. Probably owns that emo shirt.
Baker Mayfield: Mike Wazowski Monsters Inc.
Smaller charismatic dude who is a great improviser. Mouth gets him in trouble, but thankfully bigger dudes are there to bail him out (Mike Evans).
