The season of reflection is here. The staff at Playing Through want to share what we’re grateful for and our favorite Thanksgiving side dishes.
Thanksgiving is one of the more memorable holidays of the year for many.
There is plenty to be grateful for this year, especially in golf. Even outside of the golf world, everyone has something they like to reflect on and appreciate this time of year.
As a staff here at Playing Through, we wanted to express three things we’re thankful for this holiday season. We also give our favorite Thanksgiving side dishes for fun!
Kendall Capps — Senior Editor
I’m thankful to be working in a sport that I love and be in a position where I can help expand coverage beyond just the PGA Tour.
I am thankful for my health and family. They are everything.
I am thankful that the 2024 golf season is shaping up to be one for the ages.
Favorite Side Dish: Mashed potatoes, of course. But also, my wife makes a mean green bean casserole.
Jack Milko — Staff Writer
I am thankful to cover a sport that I have loved my whole life.
I am thankful for my family, friends, and good health.
And I am also thankful for the PGA of America coming to my hometown of Rochester, NY, for another great major!
Favorite Side Dish: Mashed potatoes and gravy
Savannah Leigh Richardson — Staff Writer
This year, I’m thankful for my grandparents, my aunt and uncle, cousins Millie and Griffeth, my boyfriend Thomas and my precious dog, Champ Bailey.
I’m thankful for the Georgia Bulldogs and being undefeated once again. Grateful to be back-to-back national championship winners with a potential three-peat in the future.
I’m thankful for Viktor Hovland, Rory McIlroy and Ludvig Åberg — but most of all, I’m grateful for Playing Through and SB Nation for giving me this opportunity to cover the PGA Tour and LPGA Tour. Golf is my safe space, and I’m so excited about what 2024 will bring.
Favorite Side Dish: Dressing with gravy
To our audience, thank you for your continued support of Playing Through and our staff. We wouldn’t be here without you and are so grateful for those who read and tune into our golf coverage.
With that said, what are you grateful for this year? Also, give us that favorite Thanksgiving side dish and why it’s the best.
