Scheffler won for the sixth time on the PGA Tour at The Travelers Championship. How much money has he won in 2024?
Welcome to Playing Through’s new morning ritual: Golf Talk Today.
Each morning will feature a Golf Talk Today, in which the crew will discuss various elements of the PGA Tour, LIV Golf and other professional golf tournaments.
Today’s discussion is on Scottie Scheffler and the amount of money he has won since January 1, 2024.
Where does it stack up among single-season records and career all-time?
Scheffler’s money total for 2024 is $27,696,858.
He won roughly $23 million since March 10, when he earned his first victory of the season at the Arnold Palmer Invitational.
Sunday saw him take home the Travelers Championship, which gave him four of the eight signature events in 2024. It was at least his fourth piece of clothing, crowing him the jacket king.
He also has a major championship and the 2024 Players title under his belt.
It is not July 1, and the man already has six wins, two runner-up finishes, 13 top-10s, and 14 top-25s. There has only been one time in his 15 starts that he finished outside the Top 20, which came at Pinehurst No. 2 and the U.S. Open.
In short, Scheffler is on a heater that only Tiger Woods can relate to. Woods was the last player to win six times on the PGA Tour in 2009. However, Scheffler became the first golfer since Arnold Palmer in 1962 to win six times before July 1.
