DeChambeau continues to prove why he is such a good figure in golf as he holds a three-shot ahead of the final U.S. Open round.
Welcome to Playing Through’s new morning ritual — Golf Talk Today.
Each morning will feature a Golf Talk Today, where the crew will discuss various elements throughout the PGA Tour, LPGA, LIV Golf, and more.
Bryson DeChambeau did it! He won his second U.S. Open in dramatic fashion. The third major championship of 2024 gave the fans everything. DeChambeau won over the people as they chanted his name and USA-USA-USA like the Ryder Cup.
He may play for LIV Golf, but no one thought about that as he hit that incredible 55-yard bunker shot to three feet. After winning, so many fantastic moments should make many finally understand him as a player.
So brew a pot of coffee, grab some breakfast, and settle in as we check out some of the best DeChambeau moments from Pinehurst No. 2.
The best Bryson DeChambeau moments from the U.S. Open
Growing golf is what so many in the professional game want to do, and DeChambeau gave a masterclass on it at Pinehurst.
When he won, the 30-year-old gave the crowd so much credit for helping him come out on top. DeChambeau took that trophy and let so many people touch it as he celebrated his second major since 2020.
Winning is already a whirlwind, but these were some of our favorite things we saw DeChambeau do after winning on Sunday evening.

This next one was not technically after he won, but nonetheless, it was an incredible moment from DeChambeau. He stopped and signed a man’s hat mid-round — just because he wanted to.
He understands how important connecting to the fans is. DeChambeau credited YouTube for helping him realize how crucial it is to interact with them.
Some may feel that he is disingenuous when he riles up the crowd, but that is who he is. He wants the crowd to enjoy the golf tournament.
ESPN’s Jeff Darlington called him a needle mover, someone that people get excited to watch, and DeChambeau is precisely that.

There were so many more great moments from DeChambeau on Sunday evening. He stayed for hours signing autographs and doing so much media.
Not to mention joining Johnson Wagner to recreate the illustrious bunker shot that fans lost their minds over. Wagner’s second shot was better than DeChambeau’s, and the major champion was so excited for the Golf Channel analyst.
