The Bills are rolling through the AFC East. We break down how they can clinch a spot in the 2025 NFL Playoffs in Week 13.

The 2025 NFL Playoffs are still six weeks away, but the Buffalo Bills can become the first team to clinch a division title this season. The Kansas City Chiefs clinched the first playoff berth of the year, but they still have some work to do before they can clinch the AFC West.

The Bills can clinch the AFC East with a win thanks to some help they received earlier in the week. The Miami Dolphins lost to the Green Bay Packers on Thanksgiving and that sets up the clinching scenario for the Bills. They cannot clinch with a tie.

Buffalo is 9-2 and currently in second place in the AFC standings. They beat the top-ranked Chiefs, but need Kansas City to lose a game to give them a chance at climbing on top. Until then, they can settle for their fifth straight division title. They started their run in 2020, finishing 13-3 and eventually losing to the Chiefs in the AFC Championship. Buffalo has twice finished 13-3 and twice finished 11-6 in their run of four straight division titles.

The Bills host the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday Night Football in Week 13. They head into Sunday as a 5.5-point favorite at FanDuel Sportsbook. The 49ers will have Brock Purdy back at quarterback after a one-week absence due to a shoulder injury, but he will not have his starting left tackle (Trent Williams) or left guard (Aaron Banks).
