We knew Jim Harbaugh was going to be a blast at Los Angeles Chargers training camp

Jim Harbaugh has been known for attacking each day with an “enthusiasm unknown to mankind.”

Apparently at Los Angeles Chargers training camp, that enthusiasm unknown to mankind includes stealing some quarterback reps from Justin Herbert.

The NFL Network was at the Chargers’ training camp this weekend for part of the league’s “Back Together Weekend” coverage of practices from coast to coast. Herbert sat down with Sherree Burruss and Ian Rapoport to talk about the team’s new head coach, and Herbert joked that if he decides to take a rep off during practice, he might see his coach take his place:

“He’ll jump in and take QB reps. If I take a breather for a quick second, he’s in there.”

To clarify: Justin Herbert is talking about the @chargers head coach and not a backup QB @Rapsheet @SherreeBurruss

When the Chargers hired Harbaugh to be their new head coach, many anticipated that his enthusiasm would make for an incredible pairing with the Chargers’ social media team, one of the best in the business. Training camp, and Harbaugh’s passion for the game, have already offered some incredible moments.

Such as this segment from the coach, where among other things he shows off the “swag” cleats he is wearing to practice, with a perfect caption for the video:

Or this moment from practice, where Coach Harbaugh is getting some leg work in along with some of the players:

Now if we could just get some videos of Harbaugh slinging the rock …
