Jim Harbaugh leaves Chargers-Broncos with illness, returns to sideline in Week 6

The Chargers head coach unexpectedly left the field in the first quarter, but has returned to the sideline.

UPDATE: Jim Harbaugh is dealing with an illness and is questionable to return, per the Los Angeles Chargers. Defensive coordinator Jesse Minter will serve as interim head coach in the meantime.

The Los Angeles Chargers are on the road facing the Denver Broncos in Week 6, and something odd has happened. Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh went to the blue medical tent early in the first quarter and then went to the locker room with the team’s training staff.

Harbaugh’s brother, John, cut his Ravens postgame press conference short once he received the news about Jim leaving the field so he could call and check on his brother.

John Harbaugh’s news conference ended abruptly. Harbaugh went back to locker room to make a call and check on his brother who was in blue medical tent during Chargers game.
