Colts backup Joe Flacco is literally old enough to be starter Anthony Richardson’s dad
Last season, Joe Flacco turned back the clock, stepping into the starting lineup for the Cleveland Browns and helping them to a playoff berth.
Sunday, the veteran quarterback was back on the field, stepping into the lineup for the Indianapolis Colts for an injured Anthony Richardson, who left the game with a hip injury. All Flacco did was 16-of-26 passes for 168 yards and a pair of touchdowns, as the Colts knocked off the previously undefeated Pittsburgh Steelers 27-24.
After the game, Flacco spent a few minutes with CBS Sports reporter Aditi Kinkhabwala, and gave an interview for the ages.
“When you’re out here in this environment, you feel like you’re 12 years old,” began Flacco.
He was then asked by Kinkhabwala about a quote Richardson gave the CBS Sports crew, wherein he said that the veteran quarterback is cooler than Richardson thought he would be.
Flacco begged to differ.
“Listen,” began Flacco. “He told me that his mom is eight days older than I am, so there’s no chance in the world he thinks I’m cool.”

Joe Flacco. Truly a man of the people.
Or at least us olds.
