The Packers need a hero, and Jacobs decided to wear the cape
With the Green Bay Packers down 16-3 to the Philadelphia Eagles and missing their top three wide receivers, someone needed to make a play. QB Jordan Love has been off all game, throwing two interceptions and almost throwing at least three more. Someone had to be the hero, making a play that would help save their season.
Enter Josh Jacobs. The back is having a career year in his first year with the Packers, and his bull-in-a-China-shop run to set up the Pack at the one yard line is going to go down as one of the best runs of the season.
Eagles’ LB Oren Burks has Jacobs’ undershirt and is holding on for dear life, but Jacobs has no regard for his clothing or for your life. Cooper DeJean? Take a seat in the bleachers kid. There are TWO EAGLES DEFENDERS HOLDING ON FOR DEAR LIFE as Jacobs marches towards the end zone. He comes up one yard short, but it’s an emphatic run for one of the most powerful runners in the NFL.
Jacobs scored on the next play to keep this game close, so if the Packers come back and win, we’ll come back to this angry run that lit a fire under Green Bay.
