But Allen will be without one of his key targets when the game kicks off at Lucas Oil Stadium.
Rookie wide receiver Keon Coleman, who has caught 22 passes this season for 417 yards and three touchdowns, will be out for Sunday’s game against Indianapolis. Coleman was injured on a play last in last Sunday’s game against the Miami Dolphins, when he was hit by former Buffalo defender Jordan Poyer while trying to make a catch on a route along the left sideline.
You can see the play here:
While that pass fell incomplete, Poyer was flagged for a personal foul penalty. That 15-yard infraction helped the Bills extend their drive, and they eventually got into range for Tyler Bass, who converted a 61-yard field goal with just seconds remaining for Buffalo’s 30-27 win.
But that play came at a cost, as Coleman suffered a wrist injury as a result of the collision with Poyer. Buffalo head coach Sean McDermott announced that Coleman will be out Sunday against Indianapolis as a result:
#Bills HC Sean McDermott tells @WGR550 that WR Keon Coleman (wrist) will NOT play in Sunday’s game
FB Reggie Gilliam (hip) and WR Amari Cooper (wrist) will be limited in today’s practice
With Coleman out, that might mean more opportunities for Amari Cooper (who is dealing with a wrist injury of his own as noted above) as well as Khalil Shakir and Mack Hollins at the WR spot. You might also expect tight ends Dalton Kincaid and Dawson Knox to see increased targets Sunday against the Colts.
