Kings G League player Chance Comanche was arrested in connection to woman’s disappearance. He’s been released by the team.

Chance Comanche, a forward who played for the Sacramento Kings’ G League affiliate, was arrested on Friday after a warrant was issued for first-degree kidnapping. Authorities are investigating Comanche’s connection to the disappearance of Marayna Rodgers, a 23-year-old medical assistant who was last seen on Dec. 6, according to Las Vegas’ local CBS affiliate.

The Stockton Kings released Comanche following the arrest.

The Kings played the G League Ignite in Las Vegas on Dec. 5. Comanche is the second person taken in custody in the case following the arrest of 19-year-old Sakari Harnden. Harnden was allegedly seen with Rodgers that night, and is now being held on $500K bail with a charge foror detaineding Rodgers against her will “for the purpose of killing her and/or inflicting bodily harm.”

Comanche spent two years playing for the Arizona Wildcats before going undrafted. He started five games for the Stockton Kings this season, averaging 13 points and eight rebounds per game. Comanche had a standout performance for the Kings on Dec. 12 just days before his arrest.
