Masters fans bring the heat as Scottie Scheffler thrives, competition chokes

Scheffler has started to separate from the field at the 88th Masters Tournament, showing why he’s World No. 1.

Scottie Scheffler is once again showing the golfing world why he is the number one ranked player.

Scheffler entered Sunday’s final round of The Masters with a one shot lead. But the leaderboard was stacked and bunched. Two-time major champion Collin Morikawa is paired with him.

Max Homa, Ludvig Aberg and Bryson DeChambeau were each a couple shots back.

Yet, here we are as the final group heads through Amen Corner and the tournament feels all but over.

Scheffler is catching fire, carding birdies on 8, 9 and 10.

His approach shot on the par-4 9th was unbelievable.

The 2022 Masters winner put the ball past the hole and spun it back, nearly dropping for an eagle.

Meanwhile, Morikawa has picked up two double bogeys. Aberg has fallen four shots off the lead and Homa on 12 all but ended his hopes of winning his first major title with a double himself.

Fans have noticed that once again, Scheffler is in a class by himself.

Scottie Scheffler is going to win The Masters. Then, he’s going to go deliver a baby in a green jacket, isn’t he?

Sadly, unless someone completely flips the script, there may not be drama after all at the 88th Masters.

Scheffler coughed one up on 11, so he currently holds a three shot lead. But his iron play is too strong and with his competitors all failing to make up ground, we are probably all watching Scheffler continue his dominant run.
