Homa joined in on the Jersey Jerry fun at the Sentry after his round on Thursday with a hilarious ask.
Barstool’s Jersey Jerry took over the golf world on Thursday in his attempt to make a hole-in-one on a simulator at Pebble Beach. It might not have created quite the anticipation of The Sentry, but a guy taking 2,627 shots over more than 36 hours to finally get it in the hole is pretty epic.
The incredible feat was such a big talking point that even PGA Tour players gave Jerry a shoutout.
Max Homa almost made an ace during his round on Thursday. So what did he do? Homa went on Twitter and, of course, took it a step further.
“Help me @Jerrythekid21 how do I make it go in,” Homa wrote.
How Homa’s ball didn’t go into the hole is a mystery, but leave it up to him to keep Jerry in the news. If anyone understands how Twitter and social media works, it’s the 33-year-old PGA Tour pro.
He predicted what Jon Rahm would wear when he announced his LIV Golf, of course, through social media. He’s also had countless other hilarious tweets throughout the years.
Jerry’s response may have been even funnier than Homa’s asking for help.
The interaction between the Barstool team and PGA Tour players has grown over the years. They are appealing to the younger generation that plays golf and wants to be involved in the game. It’s part of growing the sport, despite what some think.
This ace from Jerry garnered so much attention that TaylorMade, LIV Golf and even Pebble Beach acknowledged him on Twitter. It may not be conventional, but isn’t this a way to expand golf to the masses?
Who would have thought a 36-hour, 2,627-shot hole-in-one could have captivated so many minds? One has to expect a video with the two of them in the near future.
