NBA reveals Las Vegas in-season tournament court for final four

Published on

The final custom court reveal for the NBA in-season tournament is here.

The inaugural NBA in-season tournament has been a raging success for the league. The group play phase that opened the tournament was packed wit competitive, exciting games. The quarterfinals delivered as well, highlighted by a thrilling Pacers upset win over the Celtics and controversial last second Lakers victory over the Suns.

The league is now set for the final phase of the tournament, with four teams descending upon Las Vegas for the semifinals and championship. In the East, the high-flying Pacers face the powerhouse Milwaukee Bucks. The Lakers draw the New Orleans Pelicans in the West. The semifinal matchups will take place on Thursday, with the championship game going down Sunday night at Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena.

One of the most eye-grabbing parts of the in-season tournament has been the custom courts. We ranked all 30 of them here. Now the league has one more to reveal: the floor for the Las Vegas games that will determine the champion.

The stage is set. Four teams remain.

Not bad, I suppose. It features pretty standard with the primary colors in the NBA logo used to for the floor. I’m just not sure it feels elevated and special for an event the NBA is trying to make its fans care about (in fairness, they’ve been doing a pretty good job).

The in-season tournament isn’t going away, this is just year one. Expect some tweaks next year. For now, this in-season tournament has been fun to watch, and the conclusion in Vegas should be the best part yet.
