The Cowboys are so bad that even the Panthers are favorites against them.
If you ever needed a reminder of how badly things have gone for the Dallas Cowboys in 2024: This is it. In Week 15 the Cowboys travel to Charlotte to face the Panthers, and for the first time in TWO YEARS Carolina is favored in a game.
The vast majority of sportsbooks have the edge going to the Panthers this week, both in the spread and the moneyline.
The marks the first time since December 18, 2022 that the Panthers have been favored in a game, period. In that contest they were three-point favorites to the Steelers at home, and wouldn’t promptly go on to lose 24-16.
A lot of the hype around Carolina right now centers on Bryce Young. Benching the second-year quarterback has turned him into a different player. Young is playing the best football of his NFL career despite having a receiving corps that’s still a work in progress and dropping a lot of passes.
At the very least the Panthers are playing good teams close, losing their last three games by an average of 4 points to the likes of Kansas City, Tampa Bay, and Philadelphia. There’s a very real reason why Carolina is the favorite here — and it underscores how far the Cowboys have tumbled.
