Tyrese Haliburton injury: Pacers star carried off floor after slipping vs. Cetlics

Tyrese Haliburton suffered a scary leg injury against the Celtics.

Tyrese Haliburton has been one of the feel-good stories of the NBA season with as he makes a superstar leap for the Indiana Pacers. On Monday night against the Boston Celtics, Haliburton slipped when driving to the basket, watched his legs split, and had to be carried off the floor in pain.

Haliburton slipped multiple times during the first half. Pacers beat writer Scott Agness suggested the star guard was different shoes against the Celtics.

The 23-year-old Haliburton has been perhaps the best offensive player in the NBA this year. He’s leading the league is assists per game (12.7) by a wide margin, he’s scoring 24.2 points per game, and he’s become deadly with his three-point shot (40.4 percent on 8.6 attempts per game), especially off the dribble. With Haliburton at the controls, the Pacers have the No. 1 offense in the NBA and are currently posting the highest offensive efficiency rating in league history by scoring 122.4 points per 100 possessions.

The Pacers said Haliburton suffered a left hamstring strain.
