The Tokyo Dome was packed to the rafters to see the Dodgers and Cubs compete in the Tokyo Series, and Shohei Ohtani didn’t disappoint. A 5th inning home run was met with one of the best crowd reactions you’ll ever hear.

This was the absolute dream moment that all 45,000 fans hoped to see. A national legend, who will likely surpass Ichiro as the greatest Japanese MLB player of all time, delivering an absolute blast. The best part of this is the waves of cheering that wash over the crowd. First on the shot itself, then the realization it was going to carry, then the notification it scored, and finally Shohei rounding the bases.
In a lot of ways this was the moment that signified that baseball is back, and so is Ohtani. To give us another mind-boggling season. The Dodgers went on to win 6-2, with Ohtani being walked twice in addition to his home run.
