We go over the Indianapolis Colts’ odds to make the postseason after their Week 15 loss to the Broncos.

The Indianapolis Colts suffered a critical loss in Week 15, losing 31-13 to the Denver Broncos on Sunday afternoon. The Colts took an early 10-0 lead and were leading 13-10 heading into the fourth quarter before completely collapsing.

Marvin Mims put together a 61-yard punt return to open the quarter and set up a Bo Nix passing touchdown that gave them the lead. The defense forced a fumble and ran it back for a score to give them a double digit lead. Denver put a bow on things when Patrick Surtain picked off Anthony Richardson to set up one last touchdown.

The Colts dropped to 6-8 with the loss, and were eliminated from AFC South contention due to the Texans 20-12 win over the Dolphins earlier in the day. While the Colts cannot win the division, they received some help on Sunday afternoon. The Buccaneers thumped the Chargers 40-17, which dropped LA to 8-6 and only two games up on the Colts.

Indy is tied with the Dolphins and Bengals at eighth, ninth, and tenth place in the overall AFC standings. The Colts have the head-to-head tiebreaker over the Dolphins and the conference record tiebreaker over the Bengals.

The Colts have a favorable schedule to close out the season. They host the Titans in Week 16, travel to face the Giants in Week 17, and host the Jaguars in Week 18. Even if they win out, they need the Chargers to lose out. LA hosts Denver in Week 16 and since the Broncos beat the Colts, Indy needs LA to lose that game. The Chargers close the season with road games against the Patriots and Raiders.
