Johnson, the former Master champion, lost his cool after a triple bogey at the 12th at Augusta National.

Former Masters champion Zach Johnson has seen better days.

Johnson entered Friday’s second round of the 88th Masters Tournament at 4-over after a difficult opening round. Things did not get any better during his second go-round at Augusta National.

But things really went off the rails at the par-3 12th.

After sinking a short putt for triple bogey, Johnson’s emotion got the best of him.

Johnson can be heard saying “F*** you” to a fan that was likely heckling him.

It is one thing to show frustration at The Masters. Most of the field has likely been frustrated with their play as the winds have been whipping around Augusta, with gusts up to 40 miles per hour.

That has led to the average score posted thus to be nearly 3-over par. That is something rarely seen at The Masters or practically anywhere this side of U.S. Open events.

Nonetheless, Johnson clearly has had enough.

After his triple bogey six on 12, he went on to bogey the par-5 13th to fall to 8-over for the tournament.

A birdie at the tricky par-3 16th couldn’t save his round. Johnson ultimately finished his day at 7-over par and is headed home for the weekend.

The former Team USA Ryder Cup captain will miss his second straight cut at Augusta National.

After a T9 finish at the 2015 Masters, Johnson is yet to record anything better than a T36 back in 2018.

But he can take solace that he is far from the only player who had a tough time Friday.
