Woods gave back to the HBCU community as he surprised golfers shortly after the Bridgestone Invitational, and it left us all speechless.

Tiger Woods blessed a group of HBCU golfers in Palm City, Fla, during a Bridgestone shoot, and it was priceless. This opportunity came a week after the Bridgestone HBCU Invitational event at TPC Sugarloaf in Atlanta.

Woods introduced himself on the range to a group of golfers at Cape Club of Palm City and gave them a few pointers.

Their reactions to getting instruction from the greatest of all time are precisely how anyone would act around him.

“I didn’t think I was going to meet the man until I actually got on tour or anything,” Lawyrn Radford, one of the female players, said. “I just really can’t put into words how excited I am and how exciting that was. Like, Wow.”

The smiles on their faces and instant nerves show how much Woods moves the needle. He is an inspiration and took some time to give back.

While the ‘kids’ reactions to him were fantastic, the fans on Twitter were also shellshocked about his surprise visit.

Tiger giving lessons on the range = dream

Getting a golf lesson from Woods would be a dream, so we have to agree with you, Jason.

Tiger is probably the best golf instructor in the world… I’ve seen a good many videos over the years of him providing instruction to amateurs that yielded immediate positive results… -DW @TigerWoods #golf

As much as he has changed his swing and game throughout the years, Woods would be the one person to take a lesson from, so DeSota Wilson is spot on.

If tiger ever gave me advice and then watched my next shot, i’d be so nervous I don’t know if i’d even make contact with the ball

We all would be nervous to hit the next shot, CJ — we all would.

@TigerWoods thank you for kind words of advice to our kids, you will never understand the impact that you have made on these young golfers from HBCUs.

I think I got better just listening to him

It’s fantastic to see Woods give back to HBCUs. Like most young players, they look up to him, but it means far more to these players.

He is one of the few representing the Black community on the PGA Tour. Woods provides inspiration for these players reminding them that if they work hard enough, they can succeed in professional golf themselves.
