The LPGA is in Ohio for the Kroger Queen City Championship, and Round 1 saw impressive scores.
South African Ashleigh Buhai set the tone with her 7-under 65. She holds a one-shot lead over Jeeno Thitikul and Yan Liu at 6-under.
There are eight ladies at 5-under. Among those women are World No. 1 Nelly Korda, who shot a bogey-free 5-under 67, Leona Maguire, Lydia Ko and Angel Yin.
Charley Hull fired off a 2-under 70. Defending champion Minjee Lee settled for a 1-under 71 after she sank an eagle putt on her last hole to get in the red numbers. Rose Zhang has some work to do to make the weekend after beginning the tournament with a 1-over 74.
