The PGA Tour is in Mississippi for the Sanderson Farms Championship. Here is all the information you need about the tournament.

After a successful week at Royal Montreal, the PGA Tour is back in action.

Team USA defeated the International Team 18.5 to 11.5 to win its 10th straight Presidents Cup.

This week, the Tour is in Jackson, Mississippi, for the Sanderson Farms Championship at The Country Club of Jackson.

It is the second of eight FedEx Cup Fall events for players outside the Top 50 in points to finalize their 2025 eligibility. Some guys are also looking to get inside the Aon Next 10.

After the RSM Classic, players ranked 51-60 will be eligible for the first two Signature Events: the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and the Genesis Invitational.

There are 132 players in the field for the Sanderson Farms Championship, so let’s dive into the tournament.

Sanderson Farms Championship Preview

Headlining the Sanderson Farms Championship is Rickie Fowler, who is looking to pick up some much-needed FedEx Cup points after he finished 110th and missed the playoffs.

Defending champion Luke List is back in the field after winning a five-man playoff over Ludvig Åberg, Ben Griffin, Henrik Norlander and Scott Stallings. However, no player has ever defended his title at the Sanderson Farms Championship. Can List become the first?

He currently sits at No. 78 in the FedEx Cup rankings, so a strong finish will help inch him closer to possible Signature Event starts.

Mackenzie Hughes and assistant captains Brandt Snedeker and Camilo Villegas are coming straight from the Presidents Cup to play.

The Canadian did not have his best week, going 1-2-0 for the International Team. Right now, he sits in prime position at No. 51 to earn starts in the Signature Events, so he just needs to stay consistent.

Hughes, who won this event in 2022, is one of five players playing this week who are currently inside the Aon Next 10.

Two more notable names in the field this week are Nick Dunlap and Patton Kizzire. Dunlap won twice on the PGA Tour in 2024 at the American Express and Barracuda Championship. Kizzire is coming off a victory as he won the first FedEx Fall event at the Procore Championship.

In all, there are eight winners from this season in the field.

Other names to watch out for in Mississippi are Keith Mitchell, Zach Johnson, Joel Dahmen, Gary Woodland, Daniel Berger, and Matt Kuchar.

This tournament may not have all the fan favorites, but it should be a great week for fans to enjoy as Fall is finally upon the golf world.
