Week 10 of the 2024 fantasy football season is on deck! Are you ready to set your lineups? This week, we’ll be without the Cleveland Browns, Green Bay Packers, Las Vegas Raiders and Seattle Seahawks — all out on a bye, which means the absence of some key RBs like Josh Jacobs and Kenneth Walker III.

We’re here to help you fill the gaps, however, with two flex plays to lock in, plus one deep sleeper leading up to Week 10 running back rankings for standard-scoring fantasy leagues.

Week 10 RB flex plays

Tyron Tracy Jr., New York Giants (vs. Panthers)

If you’re looking for the week to start New York Giants rookie RB Tyrone Tracy Jr. confidently, this is just the occasion. Tracy has clearly taken over the RB1 role for the Giants over Devin Singletary, excelling in the offense despite the overall lack of scoring. He’s totaled 100+ scrimmage yards in three of five weeks since taking over the backfield in Week 5, standing as the RB13 in standard-scoring fantasy leagues in that span. Since Week 5, Tracy ranks top 10 among RBs with seven broken tackles

In Week 10, the Giants will travel to face the Carolina Panthers, who have been among the the best matchups for opposing running backs for fantasy this year. They’ve allowed opposing RBs a league-high 1,196 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns while forcing the second-lowest stuffed run rate in the league at 4.7%. The Panthers defense rank top-three in both red zone and goal-line plays plays this year, providing Tracy a perfect opportunity for both yardage and touchdown production.

Chuba Hubbard, Carolina Panthers (vs. Giants)

When you throw two underperforming offenses into the same matchup, the safest way to roll is with the run game. Though this is the week we could see the NFL debut for long-awaited rookie Jonathon Brooks, but it’s still a smash spot for Hubbard, who’s been incredibly productive as the lead RB in the offense. He’s excelled through nine games this season, averaging a career-high 5.0 yards per carry and just over 85 scrimmage yards per game. He’s also already matched his previous career high (5) in rushing touchdowns.

This week, the Panthers will face the Giants in Munich, Germany — a game with a 41.5 point total that feels overly generous. The Giants have allowed the fourth-most rushing yards this season, the second-highest explosive run rate (17.8%) and second-highest yards after contact per rush attempt average (3.5).

Week 10 RB deep sleepers

Rostership percentages in Yahoo! Fantasy leagues are indicated in parentheses.

Ray Davis, Buffalo Bills (vs. Colts, 27%)

This play feels a bit like chasing points coming off a week where Davis just managed a 63-yard receiving touchdown on a trick play … however, that play did mark his third touchdown on the year and second in the last three weeks. Davis has not had a consistent role in the offense and played just 14% of offensive snaps last week, but he has touchdown upside in any given week on a Josh Allen-led offense.

Expect game script to be friendlier toward some extra usage from Davis this week against the Indianapolis Colts — a middling rushing defense — sitting as 4.5-point favorites up against an Indy offense that couldn’t get much of anything done last week with Joe Flacco under center. If the Bills do manage a lead in this game, Davis should see an increase in usage and snaps to potentially nudge those in need of a deep play in the direction of a victory.
