The former Philadelphia Eagles center had a bit of a travel snafu ahead of his ‘Monday Night Countdown’ debut
One of the biggest free agency moves this NFL offseason came off the field.
After stepping away from the game as one of the NFL’s greatest centers — and with Canton, Ohio a sure destination in his future — Jason Kelce joined ESPN as part of their team of NFL analysts. The former center and current podcaster made his debut on Monday Night Countdown ahead of tonight’s game between the San Francisco 49ers, and the New York Jets.
And his debut was perhaps classic Kelce.
As was pointed out by Scott Van Pelt, Kelce left his travel bag on the plane. That forced some last-minute shopping and left the former center in a rather uncomfortable position.
With, as he put it, his chest “struggling:”
If you thought that Kelce would make for tremendous television, it seems you were absolutely correct.
In case you were wondering, the Kansas City Chiefs are on Monday Night Football twice this season. First in Week 5 when the New Orleans Saints travel to Kansas City, then again in Week 9 when it is the Tampa Bay Buccaneers who make the trip to the Midwest.
Just imagine what Monday Night Countdown will be like those weeks with a double dose of Kelce.
