Several five-star quarterbacks showed out this past weekend with highlight-reel performances.

Another week of high school football has hit the books and number of high-profile quarterbacks shined yet again last Friday night, starting off their senior years strong.

We’ve already pointed out how the top duo in the country, Duncanville’s five-star quarterback Keelon Russell and five-star wide receiver Dakorien Moore shined in a massive win for the Texas powerhouse.

But, there were several other notable quarterback performances from the week that deserve recognition.

Carrolton QB Julian Lewis

Julian Lewis, ranked the No. 2 player in the Class of 2025 by ESPN, took the field for Carrolton High School and delivered a second-straight strong performance in a 63-0 blowout victory over Lithia Springs.

Lewis completed 12 of 14 passes for 282 yards and six touchdown passes, averaging a whopping 23.5 yards per pass in the win.

The five-star looked to spread the ball around to his teammates, as no Carrolton receiver caught more than three passes and 10 different pass-catchers saw a reception in the game.

It was a dominant performance for Carrolton, who was up 56-0 at halftime, effectively ending Lewis’s night in a highly-efficient performance from the star quarterback.

The week before, Lewis had another highlight-reel outing, tossing for 352 yards and five touchdowns on 30 of 25 passing in a 44-22 victory over Rome.

Lewis has started off the season really strong after a limited performance in Carrolton’s season opener against Woodward Academy due to inclement weather conditions.

In four games, he has thrown for 1,034 yards, 18 touchdowns, and one interception, while completing 78.9 percent of his passes.

Lipscomb Academy QB Deuce Knight

Notre Dame five-star commit Deuce Knight had a strong performance this past weekend, passing for 317 yards and five touchdowns in Lipscomb Academy’s 51-36 win over Greene County.

In the win, Knight was efficient, completing 12 of 18 passes on an explosive-filled day, while also rushing for 51 yards on six carries in an all-around performance.

Knight completed passes to just three receivers on the night, with wideout Brenn Moody leading the way with five catches for 167 yards and two touchdowns, while Montrell Dortch added four catches for 104 yards and three scores as well.

Knight has started off the season well, initially throwing for 163 yards and two touchdowns on 8 on 10 passing in the season opener, while tacking on 72 yards on the ground in Lipscomb’s 33-7 win over East Central.

All eyes are on Knight’s commitment currently, with a number of programs pushing to sway the five-star away from Notre Dame.

Belleville QB Bryce Underwood

Seen as the No. 1 QB in the Class of 2025, Belleville quarterback Bryce Underwood shined under the lights this past weekend in a blowout 44-6 victory over Stevenson.

Underwood tossed for five touchdown passes in the win, furthering his stance as a top quarterback in the 2025 class.

After showing off his legs in the season opener the week before, the LSU commit had a good performance through the air in Week 2, building on his stellar junior season.

Underwood is coming off a strong 2023 year where he tossed for 3,165 yards, 40 touchdowns, and only two interceptions, while completing 66.7 percent of his passes for the Belleville Tigers.

He’ll look to continue the momentum next week when the Tigers face off against Churchill, whom they beat 56-0 a year ago.
