Ohio HS player channels Draymond Green, punches opponent in nuts

How did the refs miss this?

A high school basketball player in Ohio channeled his inner Draymond Green by blatantly punching an opponent in the groin during a playoff game over the weekend. It came in a game between Hilliard Bradley and Reynoldsburg in Division I hoops on Saturday, and people are left wondering how the referee could have missed something so blatant.

It came during a tense passage in play in which Hilliard Bradley, the 8-14 underdogs in the matchup had just extended their lead after back-to-back threes. One Twitter user who claims to be related to the player who was hit in the nuts called the punch a “momentum swing,” adding that refs just called an intentional foul — not a technical or an ejection.

Shortly after this Reynoldsburg, who carried a 20-1 record into the matchup, mounted their comeback, eventually scoring 22 points in the fourth quarter to win the game 57-51. Neither school, nor district officials have made a comment on the punch — but now as the video is going viral they might be pressured into making a statement.
