Saquon Barkley’s backwards hurdle for Eagles is instantly iconic

I’ve never seen this happen in an NFL game

It’s safe to say that Saquon Barkley is enjoying his time in Philadelphia.

After signing with the Eagles in the offseason, Barkley looks like a rejuvenated player wearing green, in the top five for rushing in the NFL. In addition, he’s just out here making things up like…a BACKWARDS HURDLE?

I mean, what in the world is this? Let’s start off with the juke moves to get to this point. Barkley could’ve just been fine with turning two Jaguars’ players into pumpkins on the play, but no he decides to make a poster moment. That photo of him jumping over the defender is going to be the screensaver for every middle schooler in the Philadelphia area by tomorrow, I guarantee it. I truly cannot believe that he had the gall to jump over someone butt first. Who even thinks of that? How do you figure out that you can do that sort of thing?

That’s the kind of play that makes you wonder if guys are real players or not. That’s the type of play that would make you turn off Madden, because the game isn’t realistic. But it just happened in real life!

You just know some high schooler or college kid is going to try this and end up on the injury report with a bruised tailbone. This is not something normal people do.

That’s just Saquon, and he does Saquon things.
