Signature Event spots and PGA Tour memberships for 2025 are on the line during the FedEx Cup Fall’s final two weeks.

Austin Eckroat picked up his second career PGA Tour victory at the World Wide Technology Championship in Mexico, as he made 11 birdies during Sunday’s final round to win by one.

But luckily for him, Eckroat has no worries about his status for 2025. He finished the 2024 regular season ranked among the top 50 in the FedEx Cup, thus guranteeing him spots in every Signature Event next season. He obviously has no concerns about whether he will be a PGA Tour member next season, too, unlike dozens of pros playing at this time of year. Look no further than Joel Dahmen, who is sitting on the periphery of the standings. More on that below.

After next week’s RSM Classic in Sea Island, Georgia, those players ranked 51st to 60th in the FedEx Cup Fall rankings will comprise the initial Aon Next 10 for the 2025 season. Players who qualify for the Aon Next 10 will earn invitations to the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and the Genesis Invitational at Riveria, the first two Signature Events of the season after the season-opening Sentry in Maui.

And then, at the same time, after next week’s FedEx Cup Fall finale along the Georgia coast, the top 125 players will receive PGA Tour cards for the 2025 season. Those players ranked from 126th to 150th will earn conditional status for 2025, which allows this group to make some starts on the PGA Tour next season. These same players will also have full status on the Korn Ferry Tour and can enter PGA Tour Q-School, which begins Dec. 14. The top-5 finishers and ties from Q-School will also earn cards for 2025.

It’s a nerve-wracking time for many.

Nevertheless, after this past week’s event in Mexico, not much movement took place. The same 10 players comprise the Aon Next 10, but some changed positions within the standings. For instance, Harris English jumped up to 52nd from 53rd after his T-14 finish and Maverick McNealy bounced up two spots from 53rd to 55th thanks to his tie for sixth. Justin Rose and Kevin Yu, meanwhile, dropped a spot each since neither played last week. They are now 59th and 60th in the standings, respectively.

Joe Highsmith made a big move in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico last week.

Further down the board is where things get interesting, though. Joe Highsmith, who began last week ranked 126th, vaulted all the way up to 112th thanks to his solo fifth finish in Mexico. He looks all but assured to earn a PGA Tour card for next season. Joel Dahmen, meanwhile, is ranked 121st, as he jumped up three spots thanks to his T-14 finish. And then, there is Daniel Berger, who returned this season after a prolonged back injury that kept him out for nearly 18 months after the 2022 U.S. Open. Berger is now 124th after tying for 20th in Mexico, improving his ranking by five spots.
