Texas A&M football flips OL Lamont Rogers, WR Jerome Myles on early National Signing Day

The Aggies picked up two five-star recruits after both flipped from their previously committed schools.

In two of the biggest flips of the 2025 recruiting class, the Texas A&M Aggies have flipped five-star offensive lineman Lamont Rogers from the Missouri Tigers and five-star wide receiver Jerome Myles from the USC Trojans.

Let’s break down both of the major decisions on early National Signing Day.

Five-star OT Lamont Rogers

Rogers, a five-star native of Mesquite, Texas, had been committed to Missouri since July after taking a bevy of official visits to Texas A&M, SMU, Texas, Oklahoma and Florida State, along with Missouri.

Ultimately, he initially sided with Missouri and head coach Eli Drinkwitz, but the Aggies kept calling to keep the talented offensive lineman home, as Rogers took unofficial visits to both Missouri and Texas A&M through the fall before ultimately flipping on Tuesday in favor of the Tigers.

In fact, the five-star recruit took four unofficial visits to the hometown Aggies since July, with Texas A&M never shying away in this commitment to keep Rogers home.

The final nail in the coffin was this weekend when Rogers was in town for Texas A&M’s showdown with the Texas Longhorns, where the Aggies fell short, but nonetheless impressed a number of their recruits with an elite environment at Kyle Field and a competitive performance against a top team in the country.

He becomes the top recruit in Texas A&M’s 2025 recruiting class, joining fellow five-star wide receiver Jerome Myles as the headliners for the Aggies in the cycle, and is a major recruiting win for head coach Mike Elko.

Standing at 6’6”, 310 pounds, Rogers has college-ready size and his athleticism is eye-popping, raising the ceiling for the five-star. His overall frame, which includes a wide wingspan and big hands, has him projected to star as an offensive tackle, and he was a multi-sport athlete, enhancing that standout athleticism of his.

With the addition of the five-star offensive lineman, Mike Elko’s 2025 class has jumped up to No. 9 in the 2025 rankings, according to 247Sports, and Texas A&M could still be working their magic on early National Signing Day itself as they try and add some more elite talent to their recruiting class.

Five-star WR Jerome Myles

The later commitment of the two, Myles flipped on early National Signing Day Wednesday after de-committing from the USC Trojans on December 1st.

A five-star recruit in the Class of 2025, Myles had been committed to USC since September, but like with Rogers, the Aggies never shied away in this commitment, bringing the receiver in for a number of unofficial visits, including for this past weekend’s game against the Longhorns, which came right before his de-commitment.

Earning a bevy of offers from high-end Power 4 schools, Myles has seen his recruitment take a number of turns, as he was initially committed to the Ole Miss Rebels back after a visit in late April.

However, after an official visit to USC, who offered a scholarship back in July, the five-star flipped to the Trojans, which had been his destination up until Wednesday, when Myles officially flipped to the Aggies, giving them two five-star commitments in the Class of 2025.
