Bengals DT B.J. Hill just made a butt pick

The Cincinnati defender grabbed his second interception in two games

In last week’s victory over the Indianapolis Colts, defensive lineman B.J. Hill grabbed an interception off quarterback Gardner Minshew. It was the first interception of his NFL career.

He now has his second in as many weeks, with this one coming in rather bizarre fashion.

Against the Minnesota Vikings on Saturday, Hill was on the field late in the first half as Nick Mullens and the Minnesota offense tried to put points on the board before halftime. Mullens dropped to throw, and Hill was among the defenders putting pressure on the Vikings QB, as Hill was trying to wrestle Mullens to the ground.

The Minnesota QB tried to throw the ball away, but it hit Hill right in the facemask before bouncing around, and somehow Hill was able to switch from tackle-mode, to interception-mode:

Also … a assist has to be given to Mullens’ butt on this play. After the football hits Hill in the facemask, it bounces into Mullens’ posterior, which keeps the play alive and gives Hill the chance to finish the play.

According to the broadcast on the NFL Network, Hill visited the Bengals’ defensive back meeting room this past week to brag about his INT against the Colts. It now looks like a return trip might be in order.
